When in Kruger, visitors traditionally try to tick off the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo and this originally came about as they were the animals regarded by hunters as the most dangerous to kill. They are effectively the holy grail of a park visit (with leopard usually proving the most elusive). But there are plenty of other big fives to keep you on the edge of your car seats as you explore the park.
Here are some of our suggestions to other Big 5’s that you should try and tick off while on safari in Kruger Park. Happy hunting!
